Creating a 10-Minute Skincare Ritual (Even If You're Busy, Tired, or Overwhelmed)

Let’s be real—most mornings feel chaotic and out of control. You’ve got emails dinging, laundry tumbling, and somehow the dog(s) needs to go out (again). Taking time for skincare? That is absolutely last on the list!

I get it. But I’ve learned that it doesn’t have to take much. You don’t need an hour, a jade roller, or a spa soundtrack.

You just need 10 minutes—and to show up for yourself.

What Changed for Me

When I first started this skincare journey—right around turning 60—I didn’t have grand visions of transformation. I just needed new products and said “yes” to something new. But slowly, these simple steps helped me claim a brief reprieve of calm and peace.

Why 10 Minutes Is Enough

This isn’t about “doing it all.” It’s about doingsomething—on purpose. In ten minutes, you can:

  • Greet yourself in the mirror

  • Cleanse your skin with care

  • Apply products that nourish instead of overwhelm

  • Breathe, soften, center

Ten minutes is long enough to shift your energy. To move from “just surviving” to beginning with intention.

My Real-Life 10-Minute Morning Ritual

Here’s what mine looks like most days:

  1. Cleanse my face with warm water and foaming cleanser

  2. Smooth serum over my face and neck

  3. Dab eye serum all around my eyes

  4. Massage in customized moisturizer

That’s it. But it changes my mood.

Your Turn

If your mornings feel chaotic, I invite you to carve out just 10 minutes—before the world pulls at your sleeve. Make it yours. Keep it simple. Make it sacred.

You deserve to start your day as the calm, centered version of yourself—not the rushed, poured-into-coffee one.
